The great names are all within reach. They need little introduction — but they matter when MINOA becomes your base for more than a few days.

The volcano is part of the landscape and part of everyday life — for walking, exploring, lunch in the mountains or simply watching the weather change around its slopes.
Close enough for lunch, an afternoon in town or an evening out. Famous for good reason, but best enjoyed when there is no need to rush.
A real city within reach: markets, restaurants, museums and shopping, but also concerts and opera at the Teatro Massimo Bellini — especially valuable during a longer stay.
A longer excursion south, ideal for a full day of architecture, sea, streets and dinner before returning to MINOA.
Across the Strait, Calabria opens another landscape and another possible day out — close enough to feel part of the same horizon.
This final slot can disappear if the page feels stronger with five destinations rather than six.
This is the more personal half of the page: not the Sicily of guidebooks, but the places that become part of everyday life when you stay here for a while.

Fondachello is the closest beach — near enough for a swim in the morning or at the end of the day, without turning it into an excursion.
For a more indulgent day by the sea, we go a little further north to Giardini Naxos: a sunbed, a long lunch and an afternoon by the water.
Pirata Beach · L'Aurora Celeste

Go down in the morning for fresh fish, stop for a coffee, walk along the harbour and come home for lunch. This should become one of the most personal sections once your own photographs are added.

Drive uphill and the coast quickly gives way to another Sicily — Piedimonte Etneo, Linguaglossa and Sant'Alfio, with small shops, cafés, local restaurants and the cooler air of Etna.
The northern slopes of Etna are one of Sicily's great wine landscapes. This section should remain deliberately brief. Our favourite: Planeta.
Rather than force the page with generic imagery, these are the photographs worth adding when you return.
